This short gauntlet is great for small to large-sized hawks falcons. It measures 12 inches long (two inches shorter than the full cuff gauntlet) and is comprised of two layers of dark brown water and blood resistant kangaroo leather over the palm, thumb, and first two fingers. Kangaroo leather is one of the toughest, lightest in weight and most puncture-proof of all leathers. It is easy to clean and does not require oiling (the 1oz vial of leather grease is not included with this gauntlet). The tassel is for waving the gauntlet to signal your falcon or hawk to come over or for hanging the gauntlet on a wall hook.
