We have found this non-toxic leather dressing to be excellent for conditioning gauntlets and most other leather falconry items (not recommended for Dutch Hoods because it will soften the needed stiffness). It is made of a mixture of pine pitch, mink oil, and beeswax. Rub a small portion into the leather of your gauntlet to prevent water and meat juices from soaking in. Comes in a 4 oz. container. (You will receive a FREE 1 oz. vial of this with each gauntlet purchased except for the water-resistant Kangaroo leather gauntlet).
